Open Classroom

Each of our classes starts in an open classroom setting. A typical class begins with 20-30 minutes of concentrated focus on the broadcasting industry and its specific terminology. We provide students with a professional vocabulary that will come in handy throughout their education and prospective careers.

In addition, the class involves discussions where we plan for both daily tasks and long-term projects. We showcase selected projects as case studies, which further aids in understanding and learning from real-life experiences.

The classroom is also furnished with a lab station and industry-standard software like Adobe Audition. This software offers hands-on experience in audio and sound editing. We have fitted the classroom with speakers and a television. These facilities provide students with practical demonstrations of their work as well as examples of professional industry output.

Individual Recording Rooms

Our facility is equipped with two individual recording rooms. All voice recordings for projects and demo reels are executed in these two rooms. These rooms have been specifically designed for recording purposes and are, therefore, fitted with soundproof walls to minimize any potential external noise interference. This ensures that the audio quality is kept pristine and clear at all times.

Each recording room features its own sound mixing board, combined with a stand-up Shure microphone, well-known for its high-quality sound output. These rooms have been set up in such a way to facilitate the smooth operation of voiceover work. The mixing sound board enables the adjustment and control of audio inputs, offering greater flexibility in creating a professional and balanced sound.

Once the voiceover has been recorded through the Shure microphone, it is then directed through the mixing board into a desktop computer. The computer is equipped with Adobe Audition software. This integration provides us with a complete, compact and efficient recording setup offering high-quality and professional results.

ESPN/News Desk Green Screen Room

The room is fitted with a professional news desk facing a mounted screen. To ensure optimum lighting, we have installed two large NewGear lights in strategic locations. A desktop computer equipped with teleprompter software controls the teleprompter screen, aiding the on-camera talents with their script delivery.

To capture video, we have a mounted camera facing the news desk. The room also contains a separate production desk, employing a Blackmagic switcher – a leading industry tool for video production.

This allows students to learn video switching, capturing, and live streaming capabilities, thus providing them with behind-the-scenes production skills, such as operating the cameras, teleprompters, and other production equipment.

Editing Room

This room is utilized for all audio editing activities, serving as a hands-on learning environment. From day one, our students begin mastering the basics of Adobe Audition software. The room houses four primary lab stations designed exclusively for this purpose.

In addition to these four lab stations, students also have access to six other stations scattered throughout the studio. This gives them ample space and flexibility to work on their editing projects.

Each lab station is equipped with its own desktop computer, loaded with Adobe Audition software, and dedicated headphones, facilitating private and focus-oriented playback during the editing process.

Board Operation and Control Room

This specialist room is designed to provide students with a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes production of a radio station. Here, students receive hands-on training on operating the mixing board and are also introduced to programming software used for organizing shows, commercials, and scheduling.

It is fully equipped with an operational mixing board and a desktop computer fitted with Adobe Audition and programming software. These tools enable students to edit soundtracks, record live shows, and manage various program schedules.

The room also boasts two stand-up microphones designed for live recording. Switcher boxes are also available for managing pre-recorded sounds, providing trainees with a broad scope of understanding the technicalities of managing a live radio show as well as structuring pre-recorded segments.

Overall, this unique setup provides our students with the practical skills and technical know-how required to manage both live and pre-recorded audio experiences, mimicking the operations of a real-world radio station.

Podcast Studio Room

Students will use this room to run Live shows on the Complete Game Broadcasting Facebook Live and YouTube Live pages. This room has a host round table with microphones for audio and phone stands for video. In addition, a ring light is used for lighting. A production desk is used for audio recording on Adobe Audition, video recording using an iPad with switcher studio software, and the RØDECaster Pro used as a mixer for all microphones, sound effects, guest call ins, Bluetooth capabilities, and recording on a SD Disk.

Our Podcast Studio room contains four microphones with stands, four headphones, four iPhone stands, a Ring Light, RØDECaster Pro,  a Desktop with Adobe Audition Software, and an iPad with Switcher Studio software.

Stand Up Green Wall Room

Our Green Wall room presents a perfect setting for students to practice stand-up reporting, utilizing the green screen wall to create a range of digital backgrounds. The room is fitted with two stand-up NewGear lights to ensure optimal illumination, coupled with two stand-up cameras that capture the students’ performances.

Additionally a separate production room is available. This room, divided by a glass window, houses a TriCaster machine and the associated TriCaster software. This sophisticated yet user-friendly system is designed for both recording and production work.

The Green Wall room’s equipment list includes two cameras, two stand-up lights, and a painted green wall that serves as a consistent and high-quality chroma key background for virtual set work. There is also a TriCaster machine used for live production and streaming, along with a dedicated workstation equipped with a desktop computer where the TriCaster software is installed.
